Overview
Led by Kubota Gentle, the modern vaudevillian, a 21-piece big band takes the stage. Since forming in 2005, they have blended danceable swing jazz with a contemporary sensibility, delivering new entertainment. The 17-piece instrumental section and the three-member vocal group “Gentle Forest Sisters” weave an exciting, laughter-filled live performance that is breathtaking. While inheriting the classic styles of Count Basie and Duke Ellington, they are not bound by genres, collaborating with comedians and idols, appearing at jazz festivals, and expanding into film and commercial music, continuing exposure across a wide range of media. Today they can be considered Japan’s busiest big band, so please enjoy their gorgeous stage.
