TiA "Sing Gospel" - feat. TiA's Choir -
Overview
TiA, a gospel singer whose powerful voice anchors performances in both New York and Japan, takes the stage. After making her major debut in 2004 with the single “Every Time,” she earned the 19th Japan Gold Disc Award 2005 “New Artist of the Year” for her first album, humming. In 2014, when she shifted her base of activity to New York, she achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the first Japanese winner at America’s largest gospel competition. The New York Times ran a front-page feature on her, and she was selected for Courrier Japon’s feature “Six Japanese People Recognized by the World,” quickly making her name known. In recent years, aiming to revolutionize Japan’s gospel scene, she drew attention for winning TV Tokyo’s “THE Karaoke Battle” twice. Now a mother of two, in this show—her first since giving birth—she will lavishly deliver gospel numbers at full power in a choir-backed arrangement. Furthermore, the Yokohama performance, held on the day of her debut, will feature guest appearances by Reia Kato (First Set) and Patrick Bartley (Second Set). A premium night to savor the voice recognized in authentic America and the allure of gospel music in an intimate space.
