Jazz pianist Ryoko Takagi, renowned for her versatile, jazz-centered improvisation, welcomes Japan’s top jazz musicians and will host a release-celebration event for her new album The Piano Story. She began playing piano at age four, and from her days at Keio University she began to perform seriously in Tokyo’s jazz clubs and live venues. Since her major-label debut in 2016, she has continued to release and perform regularly, and from January 2022 she has appeared as a regular pianist on TBS’s “THE TIME” and “THE TIME,” every Monday and Thursday, among other appearances; her momentum shows no signs of slowing. Joining her on stage this time are the album’s recording members—bassist Yosuke Inoue and drummer Hiroyuki Noritake—two artists who represent Japan with their exceptional technique and sensibility and who work across genre boundaries.
