Centered on the shared technique called the “Chopper Technique,” three master bassists from different generations and genres—Yoshihiro Naruse, IKUO, and Takayuki Murata—have joined forces to form the ultimate triple-bass unit THE CHOPPERS REVOLUTION, commonly known as Chopa-Revo. Last year they marked their 10th anniversary, and with the release of their 3rd album they held an anniversary live show that remains fresh in memory; this year they’ll be on the Billboard Live stage again. Special guests include Makoto Kamioka & Choppaz Aires, who made a stunning debut last year and whose mood kayōkyoku “Oikakete Kanto” became a hot topic.
