The guitar duo Yamagen, formed by Hirokazu Ogura and Yoshiyuki Sahashi, will hold an autumn analog best-of release tour. The group name is derived from the idea of “playing string instruments that are as mountain-like as mountains.” Since their formation in 1991, they have captivated listeners with their sound by playing not only various guitars but also banjo and mandolin, as well as a range of string instruments such as Irish bouzouki and autoharp. In 2021 they celebrated their 30th anniversary and released TOKYO MUNCH, their first album in 17 years. Last year they also staged the tour [Yamagen Thirty Festival] here at Billboard Live, their first tour in 11 years, which is still fresh in memory. In April this year they released a two-disc analog best-of, and this tour will be a premium stage where you can fully enjoy a wealth of original songs by the two.
