Overview
Nick Lowe, a pub-rock pioneer known as the producer for The Damned and Elvis Costello, has announced his Billboard Live tour for the first time in four years. Born in Surrey, England, he debuted as a member of Kippington Lodge, which would later become Brinsley Schwarz. Based on roots music such as country and blues, he forged a sound that infused his own British pop sensibility, establishing a new genre—pub rock. As a solo artist, he scored hits including "Lovers," and as a producer he worked with The Damned, Elvis Costello, and the Pretenders, showcasing his deft touch. In the late 1980s he formed Little Village with Ry Cooder and others, and since then has continued to be active in both performing and producing. Don’t miss a commanding performance by one of the British music scene’s most important originators.
