Sam Wilkes and Jacob Mann, a duo who currently enjoy strong popularity in the Los Angeles underground scene and earned worldwide acclaim from music fans and record collectors for their 2022 joint album, Perform the Compositions of Sam Wilkes & Jacob Mann, make their Billboard Live debut. Bassist/composer Sam Wilkes, who has garnered enthusiastic support in Japan through his work with saxophonist Sam Gendel, and pianist/keyboardist Jacob Mann, who drew wide attention with the Jacob Mann Big Band project, met as allies during their USC student days. They also perform as supporting members for KNOWER led by Louis Cole. This will be their first Japan appearance as a duo, and with their signature experimental and genre-defying sound, they are sure to lead you into uncharted musical territory. Their performances are continually praised by musicians and music-industry professionals, so don’t miss it.
