A Yokohama-born voice actor and singer-songwriter. She began busking at Yokohama Station in the summer of her 15th year, performing only original songs. In 2015 she was selected for the role of Tae Hanazono in the multimedia project BanG Dream! (Bandori), and began her voice-acting career. She plays electric guitar in the real-world girl band Poppin’Party, which sprang from the show, and they've marked the fastest Budokan concert by a Japanese girl band and appeared at numerous major festivals. In 2020 she made her long-awaited solo debut. This August, her latest single “Don Quixote Date” was released digitally, and lately she’s been delivering upbeat fusion-funk–flavored tracks, a rarity these days. She writes and composes all of her songs herself, pouring passion into works that pair original, lyric-rich storytelling with pop, beautiful melodies, and piano-driven performances. Carrying her new material, her first Billboard Live performance is a must-see.
