Saki Takaoka, who shines brilliantly in dramas, films, and stage performances, will hold a birthday live at Billboard Live Yokohama. While she has built a brilliant career as an actress appearing in numerous works, she is also actively pursuing singing. At one point she prioritized acting and stepped away from singing activities, but in 2013 she sang the ending song for a film—the Japanese jazz classic “Kimi Mate-domo ~ I’m Waiting for You ~”—earning high praise. Since then she has resumed her musical activities, captivating listeners with a lush voice that sings jazz and bossa nova, and her collaboration with jazz pianist Yosuke Yamashita drew attention. In 2019 she celebrated the 30th anniversary of her singing career and released her first best-of album.
