Composer/pianist Sara Wakui and singer/music producer Punipunidenki will join forces on stage at Billboard Live Yokohama. Wakui began piano at age 3 and composition at 9, and she graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. In 2022 she launched her own solo project “Sara Wakui & Spice Rhythm” and released her first album, Time Won’t Stop, in December of that year. Punipunidenki has filled playlists and charts on various streaming platforms with songs like “Kimi wa Queen” and “Zurukunai?,” and has collaborated with artists such as Tomita Lab, Kan Sano, and PC Music Club, creating music that crosses genres. Until now, Wakui had supported Punipunidenki, but this show will be the first two-artist, bill-for-bill format for both groups. Don’t miss this one-night-only, precious stage.

I’m looking forward to a two-person show with my beloved Sara Wakui.

Punipunidenki will probably be back on stage for the first time in a while, so I’m also looking forward to meeting you all.

There was an opportunity to talk when Sara Wakui supported us at a live, and I’m happy that we found many commonalities in what we feel and think, and I’ve been hoping we could perform together again.

In this two-artist live, I hope you will feel both of our approaches to music, and the shared groove that will likely drift between them.
