DADARAY is a three-member unit consisting of Kyujitsu Kacho, a member of Gesu no Kiwami Otome; vocalist REIS (also active under the name katyusha); and Etsuko, the vocalist who also serves as a live and recording support for Gesu no Kiwami Otome and Indigo La End. They make their Billboard Live debut. The band name is a coined term formed from DADAISM’s “DADA,” a mindset of negation, attack, and destruction toward established order and norms, and “RAY,” meaning light, conveying “a light that destroys established order and common sense.” They made their debut in December 2017 with the album DADASTATION, and in 2021 they drew attention for performing the theme song for the TV drama “ホメられたい僕の妄想ごはん,” based on Kyujitsu Kacho’s recipe book.
