Manami Morita, a composer/jazz pianist renowned for the opening theme of "News Station" among other works, makes her first appearance leading a big band and vocalist Ai Ichikawa.

Morita has, since studying abroad at Berklee College of Music in the United States in 2005, won numerous awards in Western competitions, and from 2011 to 2016 she also worked on the theme song “I am” for TV Asahi’s “News Station,” as well as soundtracks for Radio Nippon Broadcasting’s “Oshaberi Lab ~ Happiness Social Design” theme song, radio dramas, commercials, and more. Since then, she has been performing concerts with the big band, which is rooted in her jazz origins. Ichikawa Ai also graduated from Berklee College of Music and, after returning to Japan, made her major debut produced by 菊地成孔. Leveraging her distinctive vocal timbre, she has been active in singing drama insert songs, writing lyrics, and narrating commercials. The current stage, featuring Morita Manami as a regular, will present different themes in the 1st and 2nd stages. Don’t miss this premium evening with the acclaimed big band.
