FAKE TYPE., which has been leading the electro-swing scene, will celebrate its 10th anniversary with its very first Billboard Live performance. In addition to the live show, and to mark the anniversary, there will be a talk show with PPP—who have collaborated on many of their past music videos—and, as a special guest, DEMONDICE will also appear.

FAKE TYPE. was formed on December 6, 2013, by TOPHAMHAT-KYO (MC) and DYES IWASAKI (TrackMaker). Their debut release, FAKE BOX (2014), sold over 20,000 copies despite being a Village Vanguard exclusive. After a hiatus starting in 2017, they resumed activities in 2020 and have since expanded their reach, including a major-label debut with Universal Music, contributing a song to the film ONE PIECE FILM RED, and overseas performances in the United States. It’s also memorable that TOPHAMHAT-KYO contributed lyrics to Ado’s “Shou,” which topped the Billboard JAPAN Hot 100 multiple times and became a nationwide hit.

In November 2023, they released their major second album, FAKE SWING 2. Expect a one-night-only premium show from a music unit known for addictive tracks and quirky rap that has made a significant impact on the music scene.
