[Billboard JAPAN Women In Music] presents a talk event that considers “gender gap” and “gender bias,” and its holding has been decided. The guest speakers will include SIRUP and Furui Riho, with Mira Hasegawa (1st stage) and Asako Tsuji (2nd stage) serving as moderators. By sharing their awareness of the issues around the gender gap, they will discuss the arising “gender bias.” In Stage 1, centered on the question, “Why is the ‘gender gap’ a problem in the first place?” we will think about the problems caused by gender gaps and biases; in Stage 2, under the theme “What is the gender bias created by the media?” we will point out the issues in the music industry and consider how they interact with, and influence, wider society.
