Overview
Robert Glasper, the preeminent contemporary pianist who has established an unwavering position as the leading figure in the next generation of jazz, takes the stage. He has earned immense support from all quarters with a style that elevates jazz, gospel, hip-hop, R&B, and alternative rock, and in 2012, with the groundbreaking album Black Radio released under the moniker The Robert Glasper Experiment, achieved the milestone of becoming the first pianist to win the Grammy for Best R&B Album. Since then, in 2020, with “Better Than I Imagined” featuring H.E.R. and Me’Shell NdegéOcello, he won the Grammy for Best R&B Song at the 63rd Awards; and in 2022, with Black Radio 3, he won Best R&B Album at the 65th Awards. A jazz superstar who expresses cultural messages while demonstrating artistic depth, he has steadily built a rich career.
