Larry Carlton
~The Crusaders - Steely Dan - Fourplay~
Larry Carlton
Overview
Larry Carlton, the guitar legend who has led the fusion world, has decided to stage a farewell performance at Billboard Live to bid a temporary farewell to his world tour.
He began his professional career in the late 1960s, and after his work with The Crusaders, released in 1978 the jazz fusion masterpiece “The Night Wanderer.”
The track “Room 335” became a hit, and as a session musician, Larry became a sought-after figure, drawing love calls from renowned artists such as Steely Dan, Michael Jackson, and Billy Joel.
To date, he has been nominated for the Grammys 19 times, winning four of them, and has long moved us here at Billboard Live with a string of memorable performances.
Such Mr. 335 will, to bring his brilliant career’s whirlwind schedule to a close, deliver a performance featuring his mature guitar playing, along with many classics by The Crusaders and Steely Dan, and Fourplay’s songs that he has rarely performed before, as a Salute to his beloved Japan.
Don’t miss this precious moment that will surely be etched in music history.
