With a floating, airy voice that breezily handles everything from jazz to pop, Asako Toki will launch a Billboard Live three-city tour in the anniversary year of her solo debut. Debuting in 2004, she has produced numerous commercial songs with a polished musical sensibility, including “How Beautiful,” “Waltz for Debby,” and “Gift — You Are Madonna,” among others. Last year, she was appointed the official muse for the event [Cassette Store Day x Cassette Week 2023], which promotes the usefulness of music media, and released on cassette the live recording “Asako Toki at Billboard Live,” performed at Billboard Live Tokyo on May 3, 2023. Its nostalgic, tangible texture is a work you can enjoy not only by listening but also by handling.
