Billboard Live and NTT DOCOMO Studio & Live have jointly launched a new project, Live Heatseekers. As the first installment, a Billboard Live concert by the four-member band Chōkyumei, based mainly in Tokyo, has been decided. This project features artists who are about to take their next step, drawn from the chart “Billboard JAPAN Heatseekers Songs,” which identifies rising next-break tracks. Formed in 2020, Chōkyumei’s track “I Want to Be Your Lover” from their 1st full-length album has become a TikTok-centered viral hit, expanding their listener base not only in Japan but across Asia, and they’ve claimed the top spot on that chart five times in total. Their own tour performances have continued to sell out, and they are steadily earning a reputation as a live band. We look forward to this special club performance.
