Overview
The Verbs were formed in 2004 by legendary drummer and producer Steve Jordan and Megan Voss, a singer-songwriter who helped pioneer American girl bands and founded The Pop-Tarts and The Antoinettes, both of which were regulars at New York's CBGB's. The group drew further attention in 2010 when Tamio Okuda officially joined as a member, and it has been announced that they will embark on a Japan tour including Billboard Live venues.
The band has released three albums to date on Jay-Vee Records: their debut And Now The Verbs was released by JVC Japan, while the next two albums Trip and Cover Story were released in collaboration with Sony Music Japan. To date, notable musicians such as Danny Coachmar, Pino Palladino, and Willie Weeks have contributed, delivering a diverse range of music; for this tour, Chris Bruce will appear as the bassist at the Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hiroshima shows, while Willie Weeks will appear as the bassist for the Yokohama show. New songs from the forthcoming album Garage Sale are also planned to be performed! Look forward to the versatile, transformative performances that weave together each musician's individual personality.
