A Billboard Live performance by the four-member band Shiggy Jr., who achieved a “reunion” four-and-a-half years after their 2019 disbandment, has been announced.

Formed in December 2012 around Tomoko Ikeda (Vo) and Shigehiko Harada (Gt/Vo), the current four-piece lineup was completed in February 2014 with Natsuhiko Mori (Ba) and Kazuma Morishi (Dr), and they made their major debut in June 2015 with the single “Summertime Love.” They craft pop music that freely traverses guitar rock, electro-pop, Motown sounds, and blue-eyed soul, appealing to a broad audience, and they have been involved in numerous tie-ups with dramas, anime, and commercials. In June of this year, they held a “reunion” show at Shibuya WWW X, drawing ticket applications far exceeding the venue’s capacity, and the subsequent追加公演 at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM sold out, marking a confident return to the stage. This will be the first time the four perform on the Billboard Live stage since they appeared at the Tokyo event LIVE FREELY SPECIAL vol.2 in 2016. For this date, which also marks their first on-stage in Yokohama and Osaka, there will be one-off rearrangements and covers, making it a special performance. Look forward to a reunion with Shiggy Jr., who have grown a little more mature since “back then,” and a stylish celebration of the New Year.

In the first studio session since the reunion, when we talked about the memorable live shows we’ve had, all four of us answered that the Billboard Live show stood out.
We thought it would be great to perform again, maybe a one-man show next, and a few days later we received the booking notice, and Shiggy members’ LINE exploded with excitement at that miracle…!
With this fate-filled sequence that decided on the show, we want to deliver something a little different from usual—an oneday, somewhat more grown-up performance! So please come and enjoy yourselves.☆

I think this will be a one-off show featuring songs and arrangements unique to the Billboard Live atmosphere, plus covers we don’t normally perform. I hope you’ll enjoy a stage that feels different from a traditional live house!

More than a decade since Shiggy Jr. formed. We were fresh and sparkling like freshly picked fruit, and as time has passed we’ve begun to emit a more mature, adult aroma.
When we received this invitation at that moment, we were so happy we felt a little youthfully revived.
On the day, we plan to present a Shiggy Jr. that’s different from usual.
