Kaoru Kurosawa, who has long been at the forefront of the scene as a member of Japan’s premier vocal group The Gospellers, returns to the Billboard Live stage. The Gospellers have delivered timeless songs that are loved across generations, such as “Eien” (Forever) and “Hitori” (Alone). Kurosawa made his solo debut in 2005. This year marks the 20th anniversary of his solo career, and with roots in soul and R&B, and a passionate yet delicate vocal style, he has established a distinctive presence as a solo artist. This time, he will present a special live show featuring songs he performed on the music program Spicy Sessions (which he co-hosts with Aruno Nakanishi of Nogizaka46), as well as cover songs that form Kurosawa’s musical roots. Like the program, the stage will carry a “slightly provocative” atmosphere, vividly reflecting his past trajectory and his current position.
