Taeko Onuki, the singer-songwriter marking the 50th anniversary of her solo debut, and the guitar duo Yamagen, comprising Hirokazu Ogura and Yoshiyuki Sabashi, will launch a spring three-city Billboard Live tour. Onuki fell in love with Yamagen’s song “Gion no Koi” and recorded new lyrics for it; they first collaborated on the 2001 single “Anata o Omou to.” Since then they have continued to tour together, amassing more than twenty years of collaboration—two acts that could be seen as longtime friends.
