Hakushi Hasegawa, who elevates experimental creativity into the pop music of a new era, has decided to stage a one-night encore of his first Billboard Live tour, which took place this January to great acclaim! In 2017 he released the free digital EP “iPhone Six Plus,” and in 2018 made his CD debut with the EP “草木萌動,” his final release as a teenager. Gaining attention from overseas through appearances at Porter Robinson’s online festival “Secret Sky” and Flying Lotus’s streaming program “THE HIT,” he announced a contract with the prestigious Los Angeles label Brainfeeder in 2023. In 2024 he released his latest work, “魔法学校” (Magic School). In the Tokyo leg of the tour, which sold out instantly, he appeared on stage in a first-ever trio lineup with Tokutaro Hosoi (guitar) and Hitomi Aikawa (percussion), delivering performances that showed completely different expressions with each set and electrifying the venue. This time as well he will appear in the same trio arrangement, and the ensemble—where physical performance and singing fuse with ever-changing electronics—will be utterly unpredictable. Don’t miss this special night, a bold creativity that may be heard nowhere else and may never come again.
