Misaki Umei and Fuki Kitamura, who have personally taken charge of composing, performing, vocals, and track-making to create their own distinct works, will take the Billboard Live Yokohama stage in three formats: solo, a session, and as a two-person creative unit °pbdb (Kewpie QD). Misaki Umei’s first album “Asleep Above Creatures” and Fuki Kitamura’s first album “Spira1oop” are both nominated for the APPLE VINEGAR -Music Award- 2026. Since 2023 they have participated in each other’s song production, and through ongoing collaboration formed °pbdb, with their 1st EP “qpep°1” set for release in August 2026. In this show, it begins with each artist’s solo set, and as one joins the other’s performance, the arrangements and layering of sound evolve, ultimately unfolding into a °pbdb stage. On stage, keyboards and multiple instruments, vocals, rap, electronic sounds, and beats circulate. For °pbdb, which has previously focused on recording production, this performance will mark the start of a more fully realized live expression, anchored by the EP release. The two, who have shown solid musicality, will, through the three forms of solo, session, and °pbdb, cross their individual identities and present new music born from their intersection.
