Next year, Miyuki Hatakeyama, who will celebrate her 20th anniversary since debut, will host a release-concert for her first self-produced cover album, Song Book #1. The album features 10 tracks, including songs Hatakeyama loves and has connected with through live performances, songs she had been warming up to cover, and a self-cover of one of her signature songs, “Waga Utsukushiki Furusato yo” (My Beautiful Homeland). To give shape to the music and the longing for live performance that overflowed during the self-restraint period, it was produced entirely remotely, through home recordings, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. For this release concert, guitarist Ryūhei Koike (bonobos, LITTLE TEMPO) and pianist Kei Katagi (jizue) will also be on stage. Please experience Miyuki Hatakeyama’s voice, which resonates with listeners’ hearts, in a club setting.
