An irreplaceable master of the theatre, Satoshi Hashimoto, makes his first appearance at Billboard Live. He joined the theater company Gekidan☆Shinkansen in 1989. Since then, he has continued to be active for many years across a wide range, and especially in musical theater, leveraging his captivating singing voice and versatile acting to star in renowned works such as Miss Saigon (Engineer) and Les Misérables (Jean Valjean). Now he will hold his first-ever solo live in two cities, Yokohama and his hometown Osaka. In the Yokohama performance, a special session will feature guest Ryuya Kawaguchi. This main performance, with the concept of tracing the works and famous songs he has encountered in his acting life, is a live show where past career and future challenges intersect, as the title “ALIVE” -act1- indicates. In a refined musical space, the show that only he can create will begin—please witness that moment on stage.

“This year I celebrate my 60th birthday, and I am in my yakudoshi year (and it’s the 60-year cycle’s Fire Horse year!). On top of that, I’m smack in the middle of a yakudoshi! And although it’s said that for actors this is their ‘yakudoshi’ year, I nonetheless had a warding-off ritual… No, this is not the time to be shedding roles in such an important year! Then I decided to bite the bullet and take a look back at the roles. I would be happy to share with you the landscapes I’ve witnessed through the roles I’ve played.
