Orquesta de la Luz, a salsa band continuing the theme of the “Japan Latinization Project,” will take the stage at Billboard Live in autumn to celebrate vocalist NORA’s 60th birthday. Since their 1990 debut album achieved the feat of topping the US Latin chart for 11 consecutive weeks, they have received numerous honors both domestically and internationally, including the United Nations Peace Prize and Grammy nominations. On this occasion, on NORA’s 60th birthday (10/28), they will welcome Masayoshi Yamazaki, a longtime associate, as a guest and perform a selection that lets audiences savor NORA’s long career. In addition, on the day after the birthday (10/29), together with Tominaga TOMMY Hiromi and Coda from JO☆STARS, they will deliver the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure theme song in a salsa arrangement—a rare stage.
