Shakatak, the UK-born fusion-pop group that has been beloved worldwide since its formation in 1980, has decided to mount a Billboard Live Tour! They made their album debut in 1981 with Drivin’ Hard. When the 1982 single “NIGHT BIRDS” broke into the UK Top 10, the album of the same name peaked at No. 4 on the albums chart and remained on the charts for about six months, becoming a major hit. This global success cemented their status, and in Japan too their music has enriched the times and scenes through its use in TV dramas and commercials. Last year they staged a special career-celebrating performance, which is still fresh in memory, and for this Japan visit they are also planning a new release.
