Maui’s songstress Napua Greig makes her Billboard Live debut. Born and raised on Maui in Hawaii, she is the daughter of renowned singer Full Lindsey, and has learned hula and music on her mother’s stage from a young age. In 1992, she competed at the pinnacle of hula competitions, the Merrie Monarch Festival. That year she earned runner-up in the Miss Aloha Hula division, which selects the year’s top female hula dancer, drawing attention. As a singer, her debut album Pihana (released in 2007) won the Best Female Vocalist award at the Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards. Her second album Moharu, released in 2010, also won four categories, including Hawaiian Album of the Year and Best Female Vocalist. Now widely active as a specialist in conveying Hawaii’s culture and traditions, she delivers a heart-pounding, sun-kissed, year-round tropical stage—enjoy.
