Overview
Joyce Rice, a Los Angeles-based female songwriter with an African American father and a Japanese mother, makes her Japan debut. She first rose to fame after uploading cover songs to a video site, which led to a U.S. breakout, and in 2021, produced by D’Mile, her debut album Overgrown drew attention, with contributions from Lucky Daye, Kaytranada, and Mndsgn. With her rare talent, she has attracted attention not only in America but worldwide as a next-generation R&B singer, and she will perform live in Japan, where her roots lie. Her smooth and elegant voice, blending 90s R&B with contemporary West Coast beat music, jazz, neo-soul, and more, delivers a performance that embodies diversity and inclusion, coming to Billboard Live.
