Ryota Komatsu, a Japanese bandoneonist proudly revered even in tango’s homeland, Argentina. Since his CD debut in 1998, he has realized monument-like performances at venues such as Carnegie Hall and in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and this year marks his 25th anniversary since debut. Always presenting the bandoneon’s魅力 (appeal) from various angles at each performance, this time he appears with the 25th-anniversary album Corazón de Anison, a tribute that gathers his arrangements of beloved anime songs.

The program, centered on 70s and 80s anime songs such as “The Rose Falls Beautifully” (from The Rose of Versailles) and “Theme from Lupin III,” delivered in Argentine tango arrangements, is sure to be enjoyed by people of all ages.
