A trio led by Lars Jansson, a jazz pianist and composer who represents contemporary Europe, is on stage at Billboard Live. Lars Jansson was born in 1951 in Örebro, a city in central Sweden. In addition to receiving the Jan Johansson Music Prize, awarded to outstanding Swedish jazz musicians, he has also discovered many talented singers and players as a producer. Since 1999 he has actively performed live across Japan, earning a large and devoted fanbase. He has become one of the key figures in popularizing Nordic—Swedish—jazz in Japan. In 2022, he received the Swedish Music Academy Award and was honored by the King of Sweden for his significant contributions to musical culture.
